Why Friends-Only?
Basically, I want to keep this journal to online friends and acquaintances only. If you want to be added, just comment. I'm open to new friends, friendsfriends and cool random people.

The girl
I'm 21 years old, a ******* major and soprano in a choir. Online friends mainly say I'm sweet, but I like to think that I am also cool ;) If you know me from an online community it'll be probably from the JJ thread at Fan Forum.
I'm liberal and very into multiculturality. It is very important for me that people have strong values (basically respect, responsibility, honesty, caring, that kind of stuff... doesn't mean I expect everyone to always deal perfectly). My independence is also something I couldn't do without, I guess I'm even over-emancipated. Or just an only child. ;)
I have many friends and wouldn't know what to do without them in life, they're my extended family.

The fandoms
TV
The biggest current fandom is ~~Gilmore Girls~~ The West Wing, which I only recently discovered. I love the quirky, fast dialogues, the idealistic storylines and the beautiful relationships within the staff.
I'm completely in love with CJ cause really, how can you not be? Also, I'm a sucker for sexy Bradley Whitford/Josh cause he can be cute as hell (ah, the dimples), Toby cause his bad temper is terribly sexy and Sam because... he's Sam. As for pairings, I started with Josh/Donna, who I still think are really cute, but I gotta say I'm beyond amazed by CJ and Toby's relationship. Every scene they have together... they get to me. They have huge chemistry, they're just so special that a normal romantic relationship would be too mundane for them.

Other fandoms: Friends, I was a fan even when nobody I knew watched it (and it was long before the internet came to my life, too). Ross and Rachel were my first real ship, ah, those times. Now I watch Joey, which has nothing to do with what Friends was, but is funny.
The X-Files, a fandom I neede time to get into, cause at first I thought the show was creepy. At some point I overcame my fears and fell in love with the show and of course with Mulder & Scully. Too bad Chris Carter messed up with it so much.
I also enjoy Gilmore Girls (I'm just a bit disappointed lately, it's so blah), Six Feet Under, The Sopranos (though I haven't watched but the first season, gotta work on that) and Desperate Housewives. Oh, how could I forget Northern Exposure... great show, back in the day.

I'm into good movies: Amelie, Lost In Translation, Casablanca, anything by Woody Allen. But I enjoy light stuff like romantic comedies (there's no way I always feel like watching a good movie!): Bridget Jones, Love Actually, Center Stage, When Harry Met Sally, While You Were Sleeping... I'm not much into action (ooh, but I love suspense), I'm a lot into personal interaction (conflict, love, friendship).

Books
Harry Potter: July 16th!!! I also enjoy other stuff, especially South American literature.

Music... I listen a lot to strummy stuff like Norah Jones, Sophie Zelmani and Sam Phillips. Recently I've discovered Damien Rice and Ryan Adams and listen to them constantly. I also listen to random jazz stuff and oldies.
I'm trying to expand my Winamp list. I'm into a lot of things, so be free to recommend something whenever you want to.

The Journal
Expect me to post just general ramblings about my life. I might do fangirly posts as well, especially considering I don't post at FF a lot any more...

What do I value in an LJ-friend?
I like to read every entry my friends do and I do so if I have enough time. I love it when friends comment. I'm not someone to get annoyed if people tell me their opinion about my entries, my decisions or my life in general, so comment away!

My girl in the LJ world is and will always be Gen. She earned the title a long while ago and you might want to beat her at it (Carla, where the eff are you anyway?!?), but she's too sweet a girl, it's gonna be hard ;) Ok, so I told her ages ago that I'd do a special section about her in my userinfo. And I can't remember exactly how the idea started, I'd have to check the chat and that always means I start reading everything, so yeah, Gen, you know this is gonna take ages to be done, but here's a start. :)

The :huh: thing... in case you ever noticed that
Gen: "It's not a typo. Anymore at least. That's our personal little shout out. A long time ago Nuttie and I were PMing each other a lot. And we always ended with a hug. First it was one hug and then two hugs and then one time when she was drunk, it was three hugs but one was a typo. It was a hilarious PM. And we picked up the ":huh:" thing and have used it ever since."
